Decontamination management – planning and monitoring
The specific safety requirements with regard to pollution decontamination make comprehensive planning essential. It may be necessary, for example, to incorporate sealed-off working areas (so-called black zones) into working operations or to adapt decontamination activities according to a suitable general construction process. This requires not only special knowledge of decontamination practices and the associated legal specifications but also experience with construction processes.
The systematic monitoring of decontamination work through regular checks or accompanying measurements ensures that the legally required standards are met. Successful decontamination is then documented by means of final visual inspections as well as approval in accordance with regulations and/or result measurements.
